A Full House at Yangming For Steve Morrison’s Tasty Talk.

A Full House at Yangming For Steve Morrison’s Tasty Talk.

At his Tasty Talk in the grand ballroom at Yangming, guest speaker Steve Morrison, beloved co-host of WMMR’s #1 Morning Show “Preston and Steve,” shared poignant and funny observations about making a difference.

More than 100 happy guests – the largest Tasty Talk audience ever – enjoyed deluxe hors d’oeuvres and a fabulous communal lunch. Realtor Michelle Leonard and Dr. Thanuja Hamilton, the co-chairs of the Tasty Talk series, also welcomed many of their friends, a group that included NFL football great Fred Baxter, sporting his super bowl ring; beloved former Flyer Brian Propp, second in Flyers history for goals and assists; WOGL morning host and Tasty Talk alumna Marilyn Russell; next month’s Tasty Talk speaker, man about town HughE Dillon of PhillyChitChat.com; and Kristen Hermann of the Ben FM Morning Show.

Steve spoke with humor and deep feeling about “Camp Out for Hunger,” WMMR’s annual food drive, which last year collected over 100 million pounds of food for those in need. Steve’s wife Clare shared moving stories about the charity that their Tasty Talk supported: the Mac Fund at the Cat Shack. Clare has seen first hand the need to spay and neuter stray cats, in the hopes that every kitten can be treated humanely and find a good home.

Alison Warner of Exton, the winner of the raffle to benefit The Cat Shack, won a fabulous night for two in Philadelphia: a luxe room at the Loews Hotel, dinner at a Steven Starr restaurant, and tickets to the acclaimed Beatles Tribute at the Academy of Music.
