Renowned entrepreneur and Health Care Advocate Reneé Amoore to give Yangming’s Tasty Talk on May 23rd.

As founder and president of The Amoore Group, Reneé Amoore has earned a national reputation as an entrepreneur, political advisor and healthcare advocate who makes things happen. Trained as a Registered Nurse, with a Masters degree from Antioch College, Reneé rose from head emergency room nurse at Harlem Hospital, to program coordinator at the Philadelphia Child Guidance Clinic, to Chief Operating Officer of Growth Horizons, where she introduced innovative treatments for persons with mental illness, addictive disorders and mental retardation.

In 1996, Reneé launched Amoore Health Systems to improve the delivery and quality of healthcare in America – and now in South Africa, too. In 1999, Amoore created 521 Management to provide strategic communications services in the areas of government affairs, public relations, community outreach and corporate training. That same year, she launched the non-profit Ramsey Educational Development Institute to assist children and adults with readiness and social survival skills.

An engaged member of the NAACP, the American Legion Auxiliary, the National Association of Women Business Owners and the Drexel University Board of Trustees, Reneé has served literally dozens of professional and community organizations. She was Deputy Chair of the PA Republican Party, and in 2004 became the first African American female to chair a PA delegation to the Republican National Convention. Published in 2007, her blueprint to help women succeed entitled “The Elevator of Achievement” offers strategies for performance management and organizational leadership centered on vision and attitude.
