CBS3 TV News Anchor Jim Donovan to speak at Yangming on Wed, Oct 25.

Following September’s sold-out Tasty Talk by WOGL Morning Show host Marilyn Russell, Yangming is thrilled to welcome Jim Donovan, co-anchor of CBS 3 Eyewitness News, to our October 25 Tasty Talk luncheon.

Jim’s talk on “making a difference” will draw on a career devoted to public service.
In 1993, Jim Donovan joined NBC’s New York City flagship station, where he earned his first Emmy Award for investigative reporting. A year later, Donovan joined CNBC as an investigative producer and consumer advocate, and his reports appeared on The Today Show. In 1997, Jim started an investigative unit at WGHP-TV in High Point, NC, and helped return $1.4 million in unclaimed property to viewers. In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, Jim launched a phone bank which raised over $1 million dollars in just two days. And at KYW-TV, Jim and his “3 On Your Side” team have resolved thousands of consumer complaints.
A native of Staten Island and a graduate of Seton Hall University with a passion for travel (Jim has visited 44 countries!), Jim lends his time to numerous charities including MANNA, CARIE and the Mazzoni Center. Jim has earned 15 Emmy Awards for his work as a consumer advocate, and was recently inducted into Philadelphia’s Hall of Fame as a Broadcast Pioneer.
We expect another sell-out for this popular and inspiring speaker, so reserve your seat now. Hors d’oeuvres begin at 1pm, followed by Jim’s Tasty Talk, and Q&A. Just $20 ($25 at the door) covers hors d’oeuvres, a communal lunch, dessert, tax and tip. And all profits are donated to Alex’s Lemonade Stand. Call 610-527-3200 to reserve via credit card, or click here to reserve via PayPal.
Thank you for your support of Alex’s Lemonade Stand!
